Jo was a bridesmaid and Colin a groomsman the first time I met them when Coral and Carl were married at Winter’s Barn and I was delighted to be contacted by Colin and asked to be their wedding photographer for their December wedding at Chilston Park. With a Harry Potter theme, a rock and roll bride and a groom who likes the odd spreadsheet, I knew that their wedding would be quirky and well organised and I was excited to join them and capture all the fun and excitement when they were married.
In my ten years of being a wedding photographer, I think this was the most emotional “dad reveal” I’ve experienced.
We were so lucky with the weather and the sun even showed its face … briefly but at the right time!
And a magnificent firework show set to music was a perfect way to end my coverage … but I’m pretty confident that the evening celebrations continued long into the night …
I had such an amazing time and it was a wonderful way to end 2018 for me. It’s been a fabulous year and I’ll be posting a look back very soon but, in the meantime, I wish Jo and Colin all the happiness in the world for your married life together, a fantastic adventure of a honeymoon and I’m very much looking forward to sharing your final edits with you.
