I first met this lovely couple on 17 June 2017 and I remember the day very well. It was a hot day and a super fun wedding for Alex and Sam’s Whitstable wedding … roll forward 18 months, and we find ourselves together again, this time at Cooling Castle Barn, with the weather a little chillier but the smiles, love and laughter very evident indeed!

L and D were married at Cooling Castle Barn and it was lovely to return to a venue that I haven’t visited for a while … although the day was overcast and chilly, there was no rain and the light was great for portraits of the newly married couple. But here are a few images to give you just a hint of how fabulous the celebrations were …

Wedding at Cooling Castle BarnThe little flower girls really wanted to put on their mummy’s shoes … these two gorgeous little ones were so well behaved … weddings can be long and tiring for children but they, and the super cute pageboys, were just such great fun!Wedding at Cooling Castle Barn

There were so many smiles, so much kissing, so much laughter!

Cooling Castle Barn has iconic towers and we are allowed to photograph in front of them. Although the weather was bitter by this stage, my lovely couple had no problems having a stroll outside for some very “fresh” air!

Wedding at Cooling Castle BarnDespite it being super cold by this time, all of the guests came out into the gardens for the confetti and group shot. It’s not just about the bride and groom at this point but the enthusiasm with which guests like to throw things at the couple … I love the flower girls’ reactions!

The bottle of whisky has an emotional story behind it … told by our bride’s father during his emotional speech. There are many people who we wish could be with us when we celebrate and who sadly are not with us any more but memories stay and love never fades.

I wish L & D a happy and healthy married life together and one thing I am very certain of, their marriage will be full of fun and laughter and lots and lots of love.
