Another amazing August wedding – Claire and Richard have joined my merry group of brides and grooms who celebrate their weddings at Stonelees Golf Centre (www.stonelees.com). As one of the recommended wedding suppliers, it’s always lovely to come back to this venue and to work with the fabulous team. But especially dear to my heart was for me to meet Myrtle, who is the most loveliest, expressive and gentle dog I think I’ve ever met and who behaved absolutely perfectly during the entire wedding ceremony which, due to the weather, had to be held indoors.

But the story starts in a French/English household, with visitors from near and far making for a very dynamic and lively start to my coverage. Having learnt French for seven years at school, I was pretty confident that I could chat away like a native … it would appear from the reception that my “merci beaucoup” received, that my pronunciation may have been a little “off” and that I wasn’t actually saying what I thought I was saying … oh well, it got me the smiles and laughter that I needed!

And it certainly was great to catch up with another wonderful wedding supplier, Helen from My Hair Angels who created some beautifully braided “hair ups” for the bride and bridesmaids. Always a pleasure to work alongside her!

And here she is, Myrtle, the smooth coated collie. Just look at those gorgeous, expressive ears!

Despite the wedding ceremony being held indoors, the function room at Stonelees was the perfect backdrop – Richard was suitably nervous until the entry of his bride and then his smile stretched from ear to ear and you could see their absolute delight in being married and in celebrating with their families and friends.

After the wedding breakfast and speeches, we made our way out on the course with the lovely Brian driving me and Claire taking the helm of their golf buggy. As the rain had stopped for their formal shots (and indeed the sun came out too which was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise), we were able to get a few images outside before the rain started again and it got a little too cool …

Claire and Richard, you are the sweetest, kindest and loveliest couple. It was a pleasure to be part of your day and thank you so much for your very kind words and recommendation. I wish you both (and Myrtle) many, many years of happiness and joy, you both deserve it and I hope that our paths cross again in the future xxx
