I’ve been looking forward to photographing Natalie and Liam as I’ve known them both for nearly three years. I had the pleasure of photographing Natalie’s sister Rachel’s wedding to Michael in August 2016 in Whitstable. I then happened to meet Natalie and Liam again at a wedding fair and Natalie excitedly pointed out her sister’s wedding image on some of my promotional material … and I was delighted when Liam and Natalie booked me for their day.

Roll on a year and a bit and now it was lovely Natalie’s turn to be the bride. I was made to feel so very welcome by both Natalie and Liam’s families and it was fabulous to see so many familiar faces.

The day started with rain. But the forecast was good and it proved to be right. The sun shone and shone for this happy couple and we had the chance to make some fun portraits that really reflect this young couple’s personalities. Liam and Natalie had decided to be married in the same church where many of Natalie’s family’s weddings have taken place, at All Saints in Whitstable and their reception would be held in Faversham at Judd’s Folly.

Natalie and Liam are happy for me to show a few images from their day … and also just a couple of tips:

  1. When you make arrangements for your first date, make sure that there are buses which will be running to get you there …
  2. When you make arrangements for your second date (which was really a first date), make sure that you are standing outside the correct restaurant …
  3. Thank You Notes can make people cry …

A fabulous ceremony by vicar Simon who quoted a proverb about holding a glass too tightly … or too loosely and comparing this with holding someone in love too tightly or too loosely.

Natalie had hand crafted the confetti cones which were put to excellent use!

Natalie and Liam smiled … all day.

I wish you both the most wonderful honeymoon and I’m excited to edit the rest of your images. Your love is incredibly evident and your boundless enthusiasm draws people in. Thank you for having me along to capture your day and thank you also to your families and friends for making me feel so incredibly welcome. It was a pleasure to be part of your day and wish you both many, many years of happiness and may the laughter never cease xxx

P.S. And I couldn’t resist posting a pic of Rachel, Michael and Isobel. So excited for your family journey together xx
