From the first moment that I met Jenny and Mark, I was confident there would be much laughing at this August wedding. I was delighted when they chose me as their photographer for their wedding at Stonelees. As one of their recommended suppliers, I often work with them on weddings and was delighted that, this time, I had the chance to get some great “golden hour” shots with my lovely couple (in between the laughter). But I digress … I think their cake topper is an extremely close contender for “cake topper of the year 2019”!
It was a bright day, not too hot and the gardens at Stonelees are often wafted by gentle breezes. In the corner of the gardens, there is the perfect spot for taking photographs … I suspect that the laughing from this group of groomsmen could be heard over much of the golf course! Mark was wearing a bespoke wooden tie pin … he has a twin brother, there is ten minutes difference in their ages and I didn’t get them confused … but it was helpful nonetheless!
We British don’t like to show our teeth. Here we have my lovely bridal party practising their “winning smiles” with their beautiful bridal blooms by the amazing talent at Parkes and Iris who are also recommended suppliers for this venue.

During room turnaround, we have the opportunity to go out in golf buggies around the grounds of the golf club. With the timing of Jenny and Mark’s wedding, and the nights starts to draw in (I know, it’s August, sunset is now at 8pm and getting earlier every day …) so we had the chance to get some “golden hour” portraits. I was delighted to be able to give this lovely couple the chance of a few moments alone (with me and Bryan, my buggy driver) and also to give them some variety in the lighting and content of their images.
Did I mention the laughing? This lovely couple just didn’t stop smiling and laughing all the time. Mark has such a great sense of humour and Jenny said that she wasn’t too worried about the speeches, she was more concerned about the heckling from Mark’s friends!
