A photoshoot with the lovely Kelli from kelliwaldock.co.uk is always great fun and we’ve worked together a good few times over the years. Kelli even did the make-up when my step-daughter got married and she is just so funny and cheerful and exceedingly good at her job.
As part of portfolio work and reaching out to a larger audience, Kelli’s PR superwoman, Jordan from www.supermodelhero.com who arranged the timing of the shoot and who also got two fabulous models. The concept was to create a princess look, based on Meghan and Kate and Kelli worked to a particular brief in order to create the look.
My job, when photographing styled shoots, is to get both behind the scene shots and final images. Luckily there is very little editing needed when working with Kelli as her technique, and attention to detail, is second to none. This is always a huge bonus for any photographer!
Kelli’s salon in Whitstable has the most amazing light and that’s always what any photographer looks for, good light. And we shoot the final images just in the doorway, often with people walking past and the postman popping in!
