I’ve kept in touch with Emma and Chris since first meeting them at an open day at Stonelees Golf Centre. I knew that their day was going to filled much lots of laughter and fun and I was delighted when the forecast showed that it would be full of sunshine too (the night before brought torrential rain and thunderstorms!). What I hadn’t expected was that groom Chris and his best man Rick would be in full regalia and how super smart they looked. Even little bride’s escort, Henry, was dressed in uniform with the biggest smile and cheeky monkey always in close attendance.

There were many memories of loved ones who are no longer with us. It brings home to me each and every time just how important my job as a photographer really is. We are here to make memories and keep them close. For ever.

My beautiful bride Emma arrived with daddy Danny (who called me John all day … private joke!). Emma also had tiny pictures attached to her bridal bouquet and was wearing a gold cross too. A day where all loved ones were present …

Cute alert. Henry, as bride’s escort, looked AMAZING and had a ready and willing smile and a cute salute too!

And Henry was in close attendance, being ring bearer and general security. Look at his braces and his T shirt … so many details.

When the mock signing of the register is set up, the registrars provide a pen with no ink. Emma is really doing her homework here .. and hiding it from anyone who might want to copy!!!

The day went far too quickly. As Emma and Chris had chosen a twilight ceremony at 4pm, we worked quickly through formals so that all the guests could enjoy the buffet and welcome drinks. It was still bright sunshine when we went up to the Saxon Sword to get some portraits but it was worth it.

With the balcony full of onlookers, there was encouragement coming aplenty.

What an amazing afternoon. Family and friends of Emma and Chris were so very welcoming and fun to photograph. I’m looking forward to working through the edits of this sunshine filled wedding where the smiles and emotions just filled my lens with love.

Congratulations to you both xxx
